Parades and Processions

Any organization requesting a parade involving the closing of a PennDot highway and/or Borough Street should contact the Honesdale Borough Streets Committee Chair and the Honesdale Borough Police Chief prior to submitting the application.

Note:  At the March 26, 2012, Borough Council meeting, Councilors voted to limit the number of parades approved to the Memorial Day Parade, the Halloween Parade and the Santa Parade.

 

The organization will need to complete the following THREE DOCUMENTS for the event two months prior to the proposed event:

 

1.  BOROUGH FORM Temporary Road Closing – Form and Parade Route Map

2. TE-300 Special Event Permit.Application PARADE

3. An insurance certificate listing the Borough as additional insured on the organization’s policy.
