Mayor Ed Langendoerfer has announced an overnight parking ban on all streets within Honesdale Borough for Tuesday, Nov. 26, and Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, between the hours of 2 AM and 6 AM.
Borough Council President F. J. Monaghan would like to remind residents of Honesdale that overnight parking is prohibited during the months of December, January and February on all snow emergency routes between the hours of 2 AM and 6 AM. Those routes are Main Street, North Main Street, Church Street, East Street, West Street, Willow Avenue, Grandview Avenue, Sunrise Avenue, Cliff Street, Terrace Street, High Street, Golf Hill Road, Riverside Drive, Cottage Street, Fair Avenue, Grove Street, Ridge Street, Crestmont Drive, Park Street, West Park Street, Route 670, Bunnell Pond Road and Tryon Street.
Mayor Ed Langendoerfer may declare a snow emergency on all the streets of Honesdale Borough thus prohibiting overnight parking on any street in the Borough of Honesdale between the hours of 2 AM and 6 AM. The termination of the snow emergency by the Mayor will not, however, eliminate the overnight parking ban on the above mentioned streets listed as the snow emergency routes.
The penalty for such parking in violation of this ban is fixed at $25.00.

Fire Hydrants For Sale
FOR SALE – Fire hydrants removed from service are available for sale. $100.00 per hydrant. Years available include: 1966, 1976, 1988, 1995, 1997, 2000, and 2006. Call City Hall at 253-0731.
Pool Financial Assistance Program
Honesdale Borough Council established a financial assistance program in June 2012 to assist youths in obtaining a pool membership. A financial assistance application is located under the Recreation / Pool Rates and Schedule section of this website.
