The Honesdale Boroughs Yard Debris collection will begin on Monday, April 13th and continue every other Monday through the last week of October. Collections scheduled on a holiday will be picked up the following Tuesday.
There are two alternating routes: Route A -Gold and Route B-Green
Route A-Gold

5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, Court, Church, West 11th, Ridge, Olive, Carroll, Vine, Russell, Ash, Broad, Prospect, Stone, Union, Gravity, Moran, Forest, Beechnut, Maplewood, Crestmont, Terrace, Grove, Green, Arbor, Vine, Cherry, Linwood, Ray, Grove, Wayne, Holiday, Summit, and Terrace Heights.

Yard Debris Collection Guidelines
To help ensure a smooth and efficient pickup for everyone, please follow the guidelines below:
What to Do
- Place yard debris out the day or evening before your scheduled collection day (Please note: there is no holiday collection.)
- Use rigid containers (four bins max), no larger than 32 gallons, and keep each container under 30 lbs
- Clearly label all containers “Yard Debris.” There are stickers available at the Borough (958 Main Street Honesdale PA, 18431)
- Bundle larger branches and place them neatly next to containers. Branches must be no longer than 4 feet in length
- Paper bags may be used for leaves
- Grass clippings may be placed in containers with leaves
Please Avoid the Following
- Do not use plastic bags
- Do not include branches over 6 inches in diameter
- Do not place heavy materials such as rocks, dirt, sod, or cinders
- Do not create cinder piles
- Christmas trees will not be collected with yard debris
Residents are kindly reminded to place yard debris at the curb in accordance with Borough guidelines. Taking a moment to ensure materials are properly prepared will help avoid any missed collections.
