There are two alternating routes:   Route A -Gold and Route B-Green

                            

The Honesdale Boroughs Yard Debris collection will begin on Monday, April 13th and continue every other Monday through the last week of October. Collections scheduled on a holiday will be picked up the following Tuesday.

The following conditions apply:

  1. Place yard debris out the day or evening before the collection date. There will be no holiday collection.
  2. All yard debris (pruning and small branches) must be placed in rigid containers and no larger than 32 gallons with no lids and must not weigh over 30 lbs. Larger branches and quantities may be placed near the containers bundled and no longer than 4 feet in length. All containers are to be labeled “Yard Debris”.
  3. Paper bags of leaves are acceptable; however, plastic bags will not be accepted.
  4. There is a limited supply of Yard Debris Labels available at the Borough Office, 958 Main Street, Honesdale.
  5. No branches over 6 inches in diameter will be picked up by the Borough.
  6. No heavy materials such as rocks, dirt, sod, cinders, etc. Will be picked up. Do not make cinder piles as this hinders the sweeper from cleaning the streets.
  7. Christmas trees will not be picked up.
  8. Grass clippings may be placed in containers that contain leaves.
