The People’s Playground Project: Building a Space for Everyone
At the April 27, 2026 monthly meeting, the Peoples Playground Project representatives presented their vision for a new playground in Central Park to Honesdale Borough Council (the full presentation slides are available at the link below). The group has been working closely with the Borough’s Parks and Recreation Committee to develop a thoughtful and inclusive design. Council has formally accepted the Central Park playground plan as a guiding document and looks forward to continuing its partnership with PPP through the next phases of professional review, fundraising, and eventual installation.
