Honesdale Borough, in collaboration with the Wayne County Arts Alliance and Known Grove Sacred Land Stewardship, is thrilled to announce the launch of the Stump Design Project at Central Park!
Two aging trees have been carefully trimmed for safety, and now we’re turning the remaining trunks into beautiful, community-inspired art. Here’s how you can be a part of this unique project:
1. Visit Central Park, take inspiration from the surroundings, and create your artistic design.
2. Submit your drawings on the “Design Those Stumps!” project pages in person at WCAA (959 Main Street) or via email: waynecountyartsalliance@gmail.com (Subject: “Stump Project”).
3. Submission deadline: April 14th by midnight.
Selected designs will be carved by a local chainsaw artist, and the entire community will have a chance to vote on the finalists! Support the project by donating to Friends of Honesdale Parks: Donate Here
