Snow Emergency Declared


Mayor Declares Snow Emergency for Honesdale Borough

Mayor Derek Williams declared a snow emergency for Honesdale Borough beginning at 2 PM February 22, 2026 until further notice. After a snow emergency is declared, parking of motor vehicles is prohibited overnight on any snow emergency route and wherever “No Parking During Snow Emergency Signs” are posted in the borough to allow for snow removal by Honesdale Department of Public Works or designated contractors.

Though your street may not be listed below, signs may prohibit parking during a
“Snow Emergency”.  The following are the designated snow emergency routes: Main Street (PennDOT), North Main Street, (PennDOT), Church Street, (PennDOT), East Street, West Street, Willow Avenue, (PennDOT), Grandview Avenue, (PennDOT), Sunrise Avenue, (PennDOT), Cliff Street, (PennDOT), Terrace Street, (PennDOT), High Street, (PennDOT), Golf Hill Road, (PennDOT), Fair Avenue, (PennDOT), Grove Street, (PennDOT), Ridge Street, Crestmont Drive,  East Park Street, West Park Street, (PennDOT), State Route 670 (PennDOT), Bunnell Pond Road, (PennDOT) and Tryon Street (PennDOT).

Those residents living on snow emergency routes know that when a snow emergency is activated then no parking on those marked streets is allowed.
